Why is African American and Latino graduating percent lower than others ?
Barely half of African American and Latino students graduate from high school, with Latino graduating at 55%, African American at 51%, and White students at 76%.
Why is the percentage of students graduate from high school of each race so different? It is not exactly the right number, because in some schools there are might more African American students than white students, and other schools might be different. It affects the percentage of graduation,if there are more African Americans in a school, the percentage of graduate of African Americans would be lower or higher.
This made me think of the movie I saw before break about the Little Rock Nine, and most of the white kids in the school were in the AP classes, remainder classes, white and black were in a different neighborhood, for example white neighborhood are cleaner than black neighborhood. Black neighborhood they have abandon houses and the places that they live are smaller than most houses. Is this why African American and Latinos graduating lower than white and Asian?
I think the problem that they don't get the support they need, because their parent did not graduate from high school, and because they don't believe in themselves of their children.
